About the team
Victoria University Formula Racing Team (Victoria University Motorsport) is a
not-for-profit organization of students who design and compete with a small
open-wheel race car each year within a student design series. The students are
also responsible for:
- construction and tuning;
- finance;
- sponsorship;
- media and logistics; and
- creating a true entrepreneurial learning experience.
The team has a similar function to a small business, where the students can
immerse themselves in the challenges of project management, engineering design
and leadership development.
The team consists of approximately 20 students from Victoria University in
several areas of study ranging between mechanical, civil, electrical, computer
science, marketing, sports, visual design, information technology and business.
